"Dream Poppers" The Perren Street Parade are from Devizes, England.

Perren Street Parade started life in London in 1986/1987 after an advert was placed in 'Melody Maker'. After eight months of songwriting & rehearsing their debut 6 track demo produced by Tony Cohen was complete. The demo unfortunately gaining no traction and it all came to nothing. The band split with no gigs and no releases.

The "dynamic duo" had lost touch but reconnected via social media and got back together to record the Perren Street Parade's long overdue debut album, "Selling The Family Silver" which was released to positive reviews in 2014.

The band was hard at work in 2015 on the follow up to "Selling The Family Silver." The new album called "The Looking Glass" is another slice of dream pop sounding supreme in both songwriting and production. Keep a look out for more on the horizon from the English duo in 2016.

'Let It All Out Then Let It Go' can be heard during the New Music Show airing daily at 8am/8pm EST (1am/1pm UK time).

Rodney Cromwell - 'Black Dog EP'
Saturday, November 7, 2015
London synthpop wonder Rodney Cromwell has announced details of his new 'Black Dog' EP, which he is releasing on the back of his debut LP 'Age of Anxiety', out earlier this year via Happy Robots Records. This new release introduces the modern electronic lover to some epic retro future synth music. Deeply influenced by artists such as OMD, New Order and Kraftwerk, he also utilises an arsenal of analogue synths, evoking the synthpop sound of the 70’s and 80’s, while also being forward looking and sounding fresh.

Rodney Cromwell's music has crossover appeal that equally embraces synthpop and indiepop. It's no wonder that Rodney Cromwell has gained solid support from the likes of Malcolm Holmes (OMD) and Rusty Egan (Visage, Rich Kids) for this release, not to mention BBC6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Gideon Coe), Soho Radio (Pete Paphides), Radio 3 in Spain, many North American college radio stations and elsewhere in the world. As expressed by Malcolm Holmes of OMD: "Sounds like liquid gold. Age of Anxiety has renewed my faith in the digital age of electro pop".

The ‘Black Dog’ EP features alternate cuts of album tracks, cranking the ‘analogue synth disco’ knob up to eleven. 'Black Dog (Version)' presents a merciless edit that turns the lengthy epic album track into the tightest radio friendly ode to depression you will ever hear. 'You Will Struggle (Glitchy Disco Mix)' was made for the dancefloor, landing in uncharted territory between Rex the Dog and ‘The Best of Divine’. Rod extends what the NME calls ‘offbeat wit’ to shine on ‘Barry Was An Arms Dealer (North Poindexter Mix)’, albeit with a dark reimagining that takes the track into death disco territory. Finally 'Black Dog (Extended Version)' offers a punchier reworking of the album cut, restoring the epic bass riffs and jaunty synths that has won the ‘Age of Anxiety’ closing track so much praise.

Official Burnt Toast - 'Money As Debt'
Tuesday, September 29, 2015
Official Burnt Toast are Adrian Lawrence, Patrick Luke and Abrar Hafiz. Based in East London the trio produce spoken word, hip hop and punk, described by Luke Hannam (Gramme / Emperors New Clothes) as "an infectious cocktail of American paranoia, Canadian objectivity and a very English obsession of introspection and the fly on the wall documentary with the warmth of an accessible sound”.

Official Burnt Toast has been featured in UK broadsheet The Observer, where respected fashion photographer Perou is quoted as saying: “I always shoot to music except when we’re being filmed for TV shows and we’re not allowed. My fave band at the moment is Official Burnt Toast. Their music is between spoken word and rap. It’s very funky, but with English sentiment”.

Known for their electric live performances, The band cite Glastonbury where they played the Green Peace stage to a capacity crowd as, “one of the best gigs we’ve done to date”.

Their double A-side single 'Money As Debt'/'Hi Time' is taken from their debut Album ‘Tubs’n Tongue - Fu’.

'Money As Debt' can be heard during The New Music Show airing daily at 8am/8pm EST.
