Counting Coins - 'Don't Look Down'
Monday, September 14, 2015
Get ready to skank, pogo, mosh, jig, polka and maybe even waltz – The sound of Counting Coins refuses to stay still, switching from ska-punk to gypsy to hip-hop and back again, several times, within the same song.

Since forming in 2009, Counting Coins have steadily built up a reputation or stealing the spotlight and getting the crowds bouncing during their around their raucously energetic live shows - whether it’s a headline or a support slot, they want everyone to have a good time and refuse to take no for an answer!

After the success of their 2010 release 'Take the Ride' and 2013’s EP 'Reach for the Sky', the Coins boys have been on a constant rampage across the UK and Europe tearing up support slots with Random Hand, Sonic Boom 6, The New Town Kings, The Talks, Jaya the Cat, Babar Luck (ex King Prawn), The King Blues, The JB Conspiracy, Neville Staple (ex The Specials), The Stiff Joints as well as smashing festival stages such as Boomtown, Rebellion, Tramlines, Galtres and Freedom Festival along the way.

New single 'Don’t Look Down' featuring Robin Leitch, (Random Hand) & Pat Pretorius (The Talks) is the eagerly awaited first release from Counting Coins' forthcoming eponymous album.

Building on the success of their video for 2012's single 'What Gives You the Right', which has gained over 25,000 YouTube views (see below), the video for 'Don’t Look Down' features crowds from Counting Coin's local following. The fans were invited to a ‘Coins Style Party’ and the resulting footage gives an insight into the energy the crowd generate at a the band's shows. The band have one clear message: "No enemies, no strangers – GET INVOLVED!"

'Don’t Look Down' will be released on 1st October 2015 as a digital download on All Our Own Records but can be heard during The #NewMusic Show airing daily at 8am and 8pm EST.
