Since releasing its debut self-titled EP in 2011, Zoo Legacy has gone on to share the stage with acts such as Lauryn Hill, Shad, and BADBADNOTGOOD. The Ottawa-based band has played at some of Canada’s leading new music festivals and recently embarked on a mini regional campus tour in the fall of 2014, playing across Southern Ontario and stretching out as far as Sault Ste. Marie.
Following its debut EP, Zoo Legacy released City Light Glow in the fall of 2012, a six song EP that includes its most popular song to date L.K.U.T. The band’s reputation continued to grow in 2013, earning Zoo Legacy shows at Toronto’s exclusive Soho House, song placements in the 7 million viewed Liars All movie trailer, and multiple features in local and national media outlets such as Metro and CBC.
In 2014, Zoo Legacy launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund their third project Departures, which they wrote throughout the year and eventually recorded in Brooklyn with Juno Award winning producer Gus Van Go. Zoo Legacy will be releasing Departures in the spring of 2015.
