Hey readers!

I made my way with a couple of close buds to see the long anticipated, almost sold out Belvedere show on
Saturday June 21 at Rockpile in Etobicoke and it was more than worth the $18/ticket.  We got there right before doors, and I had no idea there were going to be so many fantastic bands opening for them!  Most
who I've never heard before, but if you know all the names of the bands, feel free to post links down below, as I don't know when the last time I've been to a show where I actually every single band's music!

Anyway, the opening band was called The Man And His Machine- what a killer opening band to set the tone for the rest of the night!  I only found out because I went up to the drummer and asked him (I really hate bothering musicians immediately after their set, but I got a good vibe at the time).

The next band was called Bet Your Life, out of London, ON.  Any bands after them, I didn't hear their names, but they all sounded great.  I know STIGMACHINE was there (though I didn't get photos of them, I know their set sounded dope as hell from the patio).

When I went back inside from the patio, we caught We Outspoken's set.  At first I didn't realize who they were, but I recall thinking, "Dayum, this band's got serious stage presence!", then I looked at the drum kit and turns out, it was one of the bands I've been anticipating to check out.  I highly recommend you catch this band play live any chance you get- they're legit.

IVS was up next, and I noticed they had an awesome stand-in bass player (sources say his name is Kyle). I've seen this band play 2 other times and they're a talented group of musicians.  Great tunes and crazy energy- got the crowd all hyped-up for the headliners.

Finally, Belvedere hit the stage and the dudes in the pit went mental!  If it weren't for that kind group of 3 or 4 gentlemen (who seemed to have all been wearing black, one who was wearing a paperboy hat), who parted the sea of people in the pit and stood behind me while I took photos, I would have gotten trampled! (If you guys are reading this- thank you!)  Such a wicked live band!

Great night!
