Kerry Jackson-Kay is a multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter and lifelong misfit from the UK. In his time he has played in, written for and toured with a bunch of bands you've likely never heard of and at one point worked as a drag escape artist and magician.

"Let Go From The Get Go" is a funk number from his album "Songs From The Age Of Human Error" about the folly of living to impress others.

Tune in to hear 'Let Go From The Get Go' during the New Music Show airing daily at 8am/8pm EST (1am/1pm in the UK).

The Deadline Shakes - 'Sweeten the Deal'
Tuesday, November 10, 2015
Glasgow's The Deadline Shakes are Greg Dingwall (lead vocals, guitars and keys), Iain McKinstry (guitars and vocals), Martin McLeod (bass), Thomas Booth (drums) and Sam Clark (piano), with Michael Muir (violin) and Kiera Pollock (vocals).

Their debut album 'Zealots', produced by Greg in a tiny room in the east end of Glasgow, is the product of three years of hard work following the band's inception. Greg’s songs are often widescreen in scope, but lucidly lovelorn lyrics give the album a relatably human quality. This is an album recorded on a limited budget that sounds like a large scale, big studio production.

Each band member is a multi-instrumentalist who has a passion bordering on compulsion to create, a drive which underpins everything they do. Even the band's unique artwork is designed in-house by bass player Martin. Guitarist Iain has edited their music videos.

'Sweeten The Deal' can be heard daily during the New Music Show and on frequent rotation on Rock By Day.

The Little Unsaid - 'Can We Hear It?'
Thursday, September 10, 2015
The Little Unsaid was stewed up in the badlands of West Yorkshire by multi-instrumentalist, producer, poet and songwriter John Elliott. After beginning as a solo project, The Little Unsaid has evolved into a growing community of touring musicians and producers blending folk, electronica, orchestral music and a meticulous songwriting craft with John’s haunting, androgynous vocals.

Following on the heels of two well-received, crowd-funded albums, his third, Fisher King, is the result of traumatic personal crisis, reflected in the music’s genre-hopping complexity, lyrical honesty and moments of cathartic release. It was recorded over four weeks in a London basement, in the middle of Highgate Cemetery, in the steeple of a crumbling Islington church, and on a tiny island in the middle of the Celtic Sea.

The lead single 'Can We Hear It ?' was selected by Catherine Cunning Coco Media & Artist Management and Mark Gardener OX-4-Sound, frontman of legendary Oxford band Ride, who also mixed the single during breaks from their recent world tour.

The song’s nursery-rhyme style iterations mourn the loss of childhood innocence, over a sliced-up sample of primary school children singing one of John’s older songs (this sample was recorded during his time working in a primary school in East London). This childlike mantra loops throughout the song over a playful electronic beat as sweeping strings and a twisted Mariachi brass section rise out of the nostalgic melancholy into a celebratory climax.
