I’m So Bored Of Hearing About How Nobody Buys Music Anymore…

As a guy who’s built a substantial business around the basic claim that I can teach you how to ACTUALLY sell music, it’s a rare day in which I don’t receive at least one snarky email/blog/Facebook comment from someone claiming that my entire premise is baseless because… wait for it… NO ONE BUYS MUSIC ANYMORE!

Don’t get me wrong… As industries go, the music business is real mother f@#ker. The vast majority of musicians out there are putting their hearts and souls on the line, but struggling to even see triple digit album sales, let alone make a living. I’ve been there, and I know what that’s like.

However, if I might just call a spade a spade for a moment, I fear that there are many who protest purely because the alternative is to admit that their situation is a result of their own actions, or worse, the lack there of. For many, it would seem that having a problem is easier than having a solution.

While I do feel the sentiment “nobody buys music anymore” is largely being thrown around as a way for many musicians to feel better about their lack of sales, there are some truths wrapped up in the claims.

It is a fact that as a whole, album sales are down. They are way down. In fact 2014 was the first year in history with ZERO platinum-certified records by the RIAA. And album sales have been in steady decline for a number of years now.

Se7en's (J-Wyze & Kolor Brown) collab with Brampton, Ontario native NewBreedMC on this 6 track EP.

Whether its a serious social commentary on a track like The System or a Party Cut like Rah Raw this project has everything you need in a bite size portion for the true head.

M.O. Littles - What I Live For
Saturday, April 25, 2015
As a live performer, M.O. Littles energy is contagious and unmatchable. Naturally, that comes from performing in hundreds of shows over the past few years across Canada, the U.S., South America and most recently returning from his first European stint. The Toronto rapper has toured with the who’s who of indie music phenoms including Demigodz, Snow Goons, Statik Selektah & Termanology, Snak The Ripper, The Beatnuts, Onyx & Swollen Members to name a few. Also add Machine Gun Kelly to that list as M.O. Littles joined the wild boy for 16 dates on his first Canada wide tour in 2013.

Raised in a blue-collar mining town, M.O. Littles had no business wanting to be a hip‐hop star. Yet his passion for the art form flourished at a young age and he vowed to pursue music over a promising hockey career. It was then that he was struck with a near deadly case of Scarlett Fever and if it wasn’t for the inspiring tales of survival of Nas and Tupac, M.O. says he may not have made it. After a lengthy recovery, with his vigor renewed, M.O. has set out on a path for success. Letting no obstacle obstruct his vision, within a few short years, he has become one of Canada's most exciting artists.

With a knack for crafting catchy hooks and a seemingly non‐stop touring schedule, M.O.’s sheer determination has brought him to this point. Invitations to play some of musics most prestigious events; The R&B/Hip Hop Billboard Awards in Atlanta and CMW in Toronto to name a couple.

Tune in for "Rap By Night" and the Top 10 on Jamsterdam Radio to hear more from Toronto's own M.O. Littles.
