| Silent Cell drummer, Marco "Horror" De Sordi, in action. |
JGIC: What inspired you to get into music?
MD: To summarize it quickly, the 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' video by Nirvana. I was completely blown away by Dave Grohl’s energy behind the kit. That was the EXACT moment, to the second, that I decided to become a musician.

MD: I was around 15 when I got my first kit, but didn't play it much because I was professionally racing motocross bikes at the time, and barely had time to focus on anything else. Eventually, I got into a nasty wreck, broke my arm into a million pieces, had to get surgery and quit. By the time I was healed, music became the second love of my life. And as they say, 'the rest is history'.
JGIC: How did you come up with the name "Silent Cell"?
MD: It just kind of looked good on paper, had a nice ring to it. There’s no hidden meaning behind it at all.
JGIC: What are your top 3 fondest moments being an artist?

JGIC: Playing festivals can be a serious rush, I'd imagine! What do you find is the toughest part of being an artist?
MD: The bills and not making any money. We pretty much lose money every time we hop on a plane, or barely break even. The genre of music we play is not very profitable where we live, unfortunately.
JGIC: Favorite bands?
MD: In Flames, Katatonia and A Perfect Circle.
JGIC: I have seen one too many musicians with jealous girlfriends because the stereotype about musicians is

MD: I’ve never been in those shoes, and I’m a pretty jealous guy myself, so I’m not sure how I’d deal with that kind of stuff. I do have one tip though, if you are a musician: Make sure your partner KNOWS you are not in it for the chicks, or the booze, or the parties. You are in it for the music and nothing else. If she loves ya, she’ll understand. Unless you’re in it for the chicks...if that’s the case, you shouldn’t be dating anyone after all.
JGIC: Amen! If you could form a “dream tour” with any musicians of your choice, deceased or living, who would you choose?
MD: I’d love to tour with Slipknot or Stone Sour. We’re heavily influenced by them, and it’d be insane to watch those guys play night after night.

MD: Big shout outs to my friend Krystal, who hooked me up with the interview, thanks a bunch! And to anyone else who was mildly interested in my blabbering, all I can say is ‘thank you’.
JGIC: Thank you, Marco for taking the time for this interview! Anything else you would like to add?
MD: Our upcoming shows are all in Brazil so, I’ll just leave you guys with our website, so be sure to check us out!
