Rush Meets Van Halen in Centrifuge
Thursday, April 23, 2015
Centrifuge consists of three members, Peter Albrektsen (guitar and keyboards), Sam Hall (bass and vocals), and Denis Banko. With this line up, Centrifuge have played together since early 2013. Their music is primarily Progressive Rock with many elements of Classic Rock, Funk, 80′s rock, Jazz Fusion, and even Reggae flavors combined. About half of their songs are instrumentals, which focus on strong melodies, odd time signature changes, freeform and structured solo’s to keep the audience engaged.

Between all members, the combined influences are bands as diverse as Rush, Level 42, Van Halen, Kiss, Genesis, YES, IQ, The Lens, Steven Wilson, Camel, and the list goes on and on. Basically any band where attention to melody and quality of musicianship come first.

Tune in for The #NewMusic show daily at 8am/8pm Toronto time to hear more from Centrifuge.
