Gillbanks - 'Lend Me Your Skin EP'
Saturday, September 19, 2015
The truth is that you have no true self-realized opinions, you have no absolute idea about who you are or what sort of legacy you’ll leave. Everything you are is an adoption, a slice of someone else’s thoughts, a misinterpretation between the excitement of something new and the fear of missing out.

A deep anxiety took hold of Sam Gillbanks. A story told by too many of the newly graduated youth: no job, no money, no future. Still no inkling into what he really wanted, he ventured into a labyrinth of dreamscaping, guitar playing, and songwriting and found a release of residual energy and captive ideas of his own making. .

He took his guitar and his voice and burrowed in the coastal town of Falmouth until he surfaced with a host of songs. Aided by the infallible Hugo Heaverman, the two made GILLBANKS with the self realized dream of giving the world their own creation. A Wavey Head released album called ‘Lived In’ followed and spawned the interest of many a keen eye. GILLBANKS dreamt of writing songs for the wicked, for the useless, for the kings of us. The ones who both know what they want and don’t know who they are, we are all guilty of falling into those well trodden paths and GILLBANKS want you to know that you can tread theirs. Check them out at Gillbanksmusic.com.

The Chadelics - 'Out of Line'
Saturday, September 12, 2015
The Chadelics are a young Brit-Rock quartet from Cumbria who combine the essence of Punk with swirling jangly guitars and pop sensibilities. Led by vocalist and songwriter Joe Mansergh, the band have already earned the attention of BBC Radio 1's Huw Stevens and BBC Radio 6 Music's Steve Lamacq, securing airplay on both shows, as well as being championed by BBC Introducing in Cumbria.

The Chadelics have gigged extensively across the UK, taking in support slots for Inspiral Carpets and a festival appearance at Kendal Calling where they were widely tipped as one of the highlights of the weekend. Their music was featured in the groundbreaking play 'Red Tap/Blue Tiger' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014.

The Chadelics new double A side single 'Out of Line' and 'I.C.U' is released on 31st October 2015 as a digital download as well as on limited edition CD and vinyl, both will be available at live shows.

Calming River - 'The Actress Pt. II'
Wednesday, September 2, 2015
Calming River is the stage name of British songwriter Joshua Brain.

Delicate and tender, his alternative-acoustic songs shine a melancholic light within a dark and brooding atmosphere. Intricate fingerpicking, numerous tunings and reflective, somber lyrics generate an intimate and beautiful aesthetic, complemented by the harrowing violin of DJ Alvaro Takt (Cassetta Records).

In 2014 Brain released his seven track debut ‘Afflict and Redeem’. To date the EP has caught the attention of numerous radio stations, fanzines and reviewers. Now living in Denmark, the release of Joshua Brain's debut has coincided with numerous shows in country's two biggest cities —Copenhagen and Aarhus. In Autumn 2015, after a summer of live performances, Calming River releases a new four track EP, titled ‘The Ones That We Left Behind’. The record, which was recorded and produced in Aarhus, sees the artist continue his collaboration with DJ and violinst Alvaro Takt.

'The Actress Pt. II' and 'Art Of Wine' can be heard during The #NewMusic Show. 'Art of Wine' debuts at #8 on the Top 10.

My Cruel Goro - 'Crapford'
Saturday, August 29, 2015
Hailing from Italy and currently based between there and Reykjavík, Iceland, three-piece My Cruel Goro present their debut eponymous EP, featuring 3 tracks chalked full of early 70s energetic Brit rock with punk leanings, yet through the prism of a thick modern soundbed. It's no wonder they are getting so much attention from the national press in Italy and that bloggers have referenced such paramount artists as The Clash, The Stranglers, The Jam, Ash, The Fratellis, Arctic Monkeys and Weezer.

"We wanted the EP to sound as powerful and raw as our live concerts. We simply tried to leverage what we did best: energy, distortion, grit and a sprinkling of electronics if necessary," says Andrea Maraschi. "You may either like or dislike it, but it's flesh and bones, and that's what you want to see on the stage, isn't it? The inner imperfection and veracity of being human."
